Indigo Adult Characteristics

~Are intelligent, though may not have had top grades.

~Are very creative and enjoy making things.

~Always need to know WHY, especially why they are being asked to do something.

~Had disgust and perhaps loathing for much of the required and repetitious work in school.

~Were rebellious in school in that they refused to do homework and rejected authority of teachers, OR seriously wanted to rebel, but didn't DARE, usually due to parental pressure.

~May have experienced early existential depression and feelings of helplessness. These may have ranged from sadness to utter despair. Suicidal feelings while still in high school or younger are not uncommon in the Indigo Adult.

~Have difficulty in service-oriented jobs. Indigos resist authority and caste system of employment.

~Prefer leadership positions or working alone to team positions.

~Have deep empathy for others, yet an intolerance of stupidity.

~May be extremely emotionally sensitive including crying at the drop of a hat (no shielding) Or may be the opposite and show no expression of emotion (full shielding).

~May have trouble with RAGE.

~Have trouble with systems they consider broken or ineffective, ie. political, educational, medical, and legal.

~Alienation from or anger with politics - feeling your voice won't count and/or that the outcome really doesn't mattter.

~Frustration with or rejection of the traditional American dream - 9-5 career, marriage, 2.5 children, house with white picket fence, etc.

~Anger at rights being taken away, fear and/or fury at "Big Brother watching you."

~Have a burning desire to do something to change and improve the world. May be stymied what to do. May have trouble identifying their path.

~Have psychic or spiritual interest appear fairly young - in or before teen years.

~Had few if any Indigo role models. Having had some doesn't mean you're not an indigo, though.

~Have strong intuition.

~Random behavior pattern or mind style - (symptoms of Attention Deficit Disorder). May have trouble focusing on assigned tasks, may jump around in conversations.

~Have had psychic experiences, such as premonitions, seeing angels or ghosts, out of body experiences, hearing voices.

~May be electrically sensitive such as watches not working and street lights going out as you move under them, electrical equipment malfunctioning and lights blowing out.

~May have awareness of other dimensions and parallel realities.

~Sexually are very expressive and inventive OR may reject sexuality in boredom or with intention of achieving higher spiritual connection. May explore alternative types of sexuality.

~Seek meaning to their life and understanding about the world May seek this through religion or spirituality, spiritual groups and books, self-help groups and books.

~When they find balance they may become very strong, healthy, happy individuals.

**Please note, anyone could have a few of these traits, but Indigo Adults have most or all of these 25 characteristics.

Okay, thanks anyway ladies. This is a new subject for me and I'll have to research it. If I use the whole year of my birth, 1949, my number comes up as "1" so that leaves me.....um.....still nowhere!

loving this! I really shunned the whole Indigo thing because I related so much to it - and never thought for one minute they could be talking about me! - I thought it was another one of those classifications. There is still some skepticism on my part because I'm not sure that auras don't change colors. I believe they do! But I also believe that each set of generations come with particular attributes to handle the challenges present and ahead. None is better than the previous or the next. They are just perfect for that moment in time they have to live. Their parents are also perfectly aligned with who they are and what they have, for them to develop "under" or with.
You see, I believe that we do have energetically aligned vibrational centers (or chakras) that connect with the different frequencies of the All, or in other words, with all that is. We have to have these to be able to function with the frequencies we live in, and there are many we do not consciously apply because they are outside of the specter of "known" applications (frequencies so high, and even so low, we do not have practical applications of to relate to in our daily lives). Light (and color) is a constant, very very high and constant frequency we "see" but we don't "feel", because we cannot feel the impact of the cusp of the wavelength (or photons) upon the matter it hits to reverberate and "create". To explain this, look at an ocean wave. When an ocean wave hits a rock, it's cusp hits matter and "crashes" or reverberates. In the same way, when the cusp of a sound wave hits matter, it creates sound at a specific frequency. With light, the frequencies are so much higher that we cannot measure it this way. (as I understand it!) But what we can measure is the frequency of the reverberating field (electro-magnetic field) it has its effect on. This has been proven to be constant. Frequency and wavelength are the same. The sun gives out all these frequencies, or wavelengths, so what we see are All colors together everywhere. In the same way, our body gives out all these frequencies and wavelengths. Anywhoo, the point is that what we reverberate shines through us, and we must remember that shoudl we be able to see the colors we reverberate, then we need to know what lights filter the colors, just as we see a blue sky not just because the frequency of blue is given outwards from the sun, but it reverberates against those colors that cancel out all others. (The atmospheric filter cancels out the other colors to leave a majority of blue as we see it from here on earth). - So we reverberate all colors, but some vibrational interferences filter out one color or the other depending on where we are, what we prject, how we vibrate...
But, just like Celine's Dion's song I'm listening to right now - I'm ALIVE!!!

Kathy--Ms. Math-whiz here added wrong!! However, my miscalculation did point out that my theory was just wishful thinking! Astrid's discovery refers to the ruling chakra for this incarnation, not the original ray we rode into this planet on.

I talked to my Angel communicator about this, and she says that if you ask your angels, they will tell you. She also told me that we have one primary ray, and can choose up to 4 additional rays, based on what our overall mission is.

Astrid--I would put money on you being either an Indigo or an Angelic. Your Third Eye is definitely the defining process of this lifetime! And I suspect that you are a very old soul, too!

Hi Chris, thanks fo the info. This subject of rays is on my list of new things to discover. I did find, from Astrid's information, that I'm a sacral chakra, color orange. Thanks for that site, Astrid. Oh, and I caught your "Be Happy" video on You Tube--very nice! You have a beautiful voice! When you write your book(s), you should consider reading it for the audio edition.

Chris, I'll ask my angels for guidance on this ray business, but I have to tell you, I think my angels and guides are a troupe of mimes and are having it on with me. :) I don't hear a peep out of them. I'll give it a shot, though.

I've decided that's what my 40's are going to be all about; having fun! In a hopefully inspiring way!
Old soul, for sure. When I was young I used to say that I wasn't "asked" to come back but that it had been so long, I wanted to be amongst the people again, to see for myself what they were feeling! I used to be so surprised that there was no tele-transportation, or that cars didn't fly, or that they hadn't figured out yet how to turn the air's energy into motor power. Lots of past life regression stories to tell there!

I was trying to figure out where to share this, and figured this was the place!
I friend's step-son died of an overdose last week, and I went to the funeral the other night. While the minister was talking about how Ryan would have no more problems, and be taken care of for all time in heaven, I couldn't help but think how out of touch this man was! At the same time, I got the most amazing sensation of being completely in touch with my own timeline, past and future--feeling the continuity and NOW-ness of it.

Once you start on a spiritual journey, you just never know where or when the next "WOW" moment will strike!!

Well, Kathy,
I did a little Kinesiology questioning on your behalf, and came up with the result that your first ray is green! This is the fifth ray--of the Ascended Master Hilarion, and the Third-eye Chakra (the ray colors don't match the chakra colors for some reason--I have been told that the chakra colors all changed when we fell to the third dimension. The heart chakra used to be red!).

Did you know that the majority of Indigo´s have rh neg blood. I have been having discussion on the powerful intentions Indigo group and asked the same question, so many of them realised that they had the same rare blood. Google search RHneg Blood and see the similarities in the Indigo traits.
